The pioneering spirit of PURE IBOs

It’s Columbus Day, when we celebrate Christopher Columbus’ traditional discovery of the Americas on behalf of the crowns of Castile and Aragon, crowns that would later form the nucleus of modern-day Spain. Today we honor a pioneer who was not afraid to explore new opportunities.

Columbus spent years lobbying Queen Isabella I of Castile and King Ferdinand II of Aragon, asking them to fund an expedition to establish a western sea passage to the East Indies. At that time, the spice trade that travelled the Silk Road from India and China to Europe had been cut off by the Ottoman Empire, starving Europe of food flavorings such as ginger, pepper and turmeric. By the way, these are spices used in products by PURE today. A sea route around the southern tip of Africa was still some years off. Thus, there was a great demand for spices. Tremendous wealth would be made by anyone who could find and deliver supplies.

We all know that Columbus did not set out to find the Americas. He wished to approach the East Indies from an easterly direction. However, this would mean crossing the Western Ocean, an ocean that was estimated to be between 2,000 and 12,000 miles wide. Columbus mistakenly believed in the lesser distance so that when, after five weeks of sailing, his expedition reached an island in the Bahamas, he assumed he had sailed around the far side of Planet Earth and arrived in India. He and his 80-plus men assumed the natives were “Indians” and, sadly, that name stuck.

While prospective PURE Independent Business Owners do not risk losing the lives of themselves and 80 men on the ocean, they are still all business pioneers. The biggest difference is that they are not pushing out into the unknown: PURE has been in business for over ten years and the products have stood the test of time, and are trusted by consumers here in the Americas and around the world.

Have a look at livepure.com and, when you decide to take the plunge with our business opportunity, it will be plain sailing from then on, with PURE.
