Goji “Happy” Smoothie

img_7428 It’s wise to keep your immune system strong during the fall and winter seasons. Getting plenty of sleep, being physically active, managing your stress, drinking plenty of fluids, and eating nutritious foods are all important. This delicious, citrusy smoothie is an easy way to give your body the nutrients it needs; it is full of vitamins A and C, essential fatty acids, and antioxidants that help boost the immune system and keep your body happy overall.

Genesis PURE’s Goji superfruit is historically named the “happy berry” because of the sense of well-being it provides after consumption. It is a natural source of vitamin C and polysaccharides and provides nutrition to help support a healthy immune system.*

Turmeric, another powerful ingredient, has been used in India for thousands of years as a spice and medicinal herb. Turmeric contains compounds called curcuminoids, the most important of which is curcumin – the active ingredient in turmeric. It is a very strong antioxidant, and the spice that gives curry its yellow color.

  • 2 medium oranges, peeled,
  • 1/2 cup almond milk
  • 1/2 t. turmeric
  • 3 T Genesis PURE Goji superfruit juice
  • 1/2 T peeled ginger
  • 1 T maple syrup
  • 3/4 cup ice

Blend everything together until smooth. Add the ice and blend again. Serve immediately.

The result is a tasty drink that brings well-being during the fall and winter months. Enjoy this smoothie in place of your morning orange juice to start your day and continue your journey towards Whole Health.
